fortune tonight story

A short graphic story I worked on over the summer. I think I would like to have try and create a longer story but through painting and drawing, sadly all I can foresee is smudged paintings due to my clumsy elbows.

poster exhibition

I had a poster in an exhibition at Liverpool School of Art curated by burneverything

It had some really good work and ran alongside the gig as advertised by the posters.

I received a letter to say that I have been highly commended in this years Cheltenham Illustration Awards, so should be on their website for another year. I would love to go to the awards to see the exhibition and listen to Tom Gauld and Simone Lia but sadly my bank balance does not permit me.

charity shop

An image taken from a graphic short story I am working on at the moment, despite the fact that I'm trying to make it look like charity shop tat I really want the cup and saucer set.

windy day

not very happy with this image, I'm finding it difficult to develop a balance with using the computer to create my work. I might leave photoshop for a while and try painting, what I wouldn't give to be able to screenprint. Ive ordered a gocco but I can't really afford to buy many screens and bulbs so might try some two colour prints.

It's been a slow transition from finishing uni to getting on with work; a holiday to Wales, moving house. I was a finalist in the Northern Designers competition and attended an exhibition and posh meal in leeds. Will post some photos on my flickr soon.

fuzzy head

Back to posting again after a long time of neglect I will try not to be the worlds worst blogger. My head is in a bit of a spin as the days disappear until the end of my degree approaches.
